1. Who We Are

devswhocode.com (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a software development service.

We write code. We don’t sell products, track users, or run ads.

We only collect data necessary to deliver our services.

  • Email address (required)
  • Project description (required — technical specs, goals, tech stack)
  • Name (optional)
  • Company name (optional)
  • Telegram/WhatsApp (optional — for faster communication)

2.2. When You Pay for a Service:

  • Payment information — handled by Stripe, PayPal, Wise, Revolut, or Crypto gateways.
→ We never see your card number, CVV, or bank details.
  • Invoice details — if provided: company name, VAT ID, billing address.

2.3. When You Use Our Website:

  • IP address — logged by server for security and abuse prevention.
  • Browser, device, OS — via analytics (see Section 5).
  • Cookies — only for functional purposes (e.g., form sessions). No tracking.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data only for the purpose you provided it:

  • To respond to your inquiry or consultation request
  • To deliver the software development service you ordered
  • To send invoices, contracts, or project updates
  • To comply with legal obligations (tax, fraud prevention)

We do not:

  • Sell your data
  • Share it with advertisers
  • Use it for marketing without your explicit consent
  • Build profiles or track you across the web

4. Who We Share Your Data With

We only share data when necessary to deliver the service or required by law.

4.1. Payment Processors

  • Stripe, PayPal, Wise, Revolut, Coinbase Commerce — to process payments.
→ They handle your payment data — we never see your card or bank details.

4.2. Communication Tools

  • Telegram, Slack, Email providers — if you choose to communicate via these channels.

4.3. Legal & Compliance

  • Authorities — if required by law (e.g., court order, fraud investigation).

4.4. Subcontractors (Rare)

  • Occasionally, we may bring in a vetted freelance engineer for specialized tasks.
→ They sign NDAs and are bound by this Privacy Policy.

5. Cookies & Analytics

We use minimal, non-intrusive tools:

5.1. Functional Cookies

  • Session cookies — to keep you logged in during consultation booking
  • Preference cookies — to remember UI choices (e.g., dark mode)

5.2. Analytics (Optional)

  • We use Plausible.io (privacy-friendly, no cookies, no personal tracking) — or Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymization.
→ Only to understand traffic sources — not to track individuals.

You can opt out of analytics at any time.

6. Data Retention

We keep your data only as long as necessary:

  • Project data, emails, specs — 3 years after project completion (for support and warranty)
  • Payment records — 7 years (for tax compliance)
  • Consultation requests — 6 months (if no project started)

→ You can request deletion anytime (see Section 8).

7. Security

We protect your data with:

  • Encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS everywhere)
  • Access controls — only engineers working on your project
  • 2FA enforced on all internal tools (GitHub, Email, Slack)
  • Regular security audits of code and infrastructure

No system is 100% secure — but we follow industry best practices.

8. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

You have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of data we hold about you
  • Correction — fix inaccurate data
  • Deletion — ask us to delete your data (unless we need it for legal reasons)
